Profiles Dialog

Opens when Profiles is selected in the Roadway Elements group.
SettingDescription
Add Profile Press the folder icon to create a new Profile. When the edit box appears in the list, accept the default profile name or enter a new profile name then hit the Enter key.
Delete Profile Delete an alignment by highlighting the profile name in the list and press the Delete (X) button.
Add VPI Press this button to Insert Vertical Point of intersection (VPI) to the bridge profile after the currently highlighted VPI in the grid. The new VPI will be inserted into the grid and added to the graphic view.
Insert VPI Press this button to Insert Vertical Point of intersection (VPI) to the bridge profile before the currently highlighted VPI in the grid. The new VPI will be inserted into the grid and added to the graphic view.
Delete VPI Use this button to remove the last VPI in the grid.
Drawing scale Enter the scale of the bridge profile and press the Apply button.
Station Enter the station at the VPI.
Elevation Enter the elevation at the VPI.
Transition If the elevations between the VPI points are the same, select None. Otherwise, choose either parabola or unequal.
Save DGN The following button will save the Profile(s) 2D model directly and accurately to Microstation DGN file format, including layers. Save the DGN file in the desired location and once the export is successful you can browse to file location and open/view in Microstation.
LVC-1 Enter the length of the vertical curve preceding the VPI. If the transition type is Parabola this is the entire vertical curve length. If the transition type is Unequal this is the length of the curve preceding the VPI.
LVC-2 Enter the length of the vertical curve following the VPI. This field is only active if the transition type is Unequal.
OK Press this button to accept the definition and exit the dialog.
Cancel Press this button to exit the dialog without saving changes.
